Edward (Ed) Lukow, FCA, FCPA, President and CEO

Ed is a highly experienced business executive who champions En-Pro’s energy and commodity management operations. He is the second executive to lead the company since its inception in 1985. Prior to this, Ed worked as a Managing Partner of BDO Canada LLP. His areas of expertise include acquisitions, operations consulting, and reorganizations. In addition, he served as advisor to the president of a large multi-national automotive services company, concentrating on acquisitions and operations. He is past president of the Chamber Insurance Corporation of Canada Inc., and a former owner/partner in both food and construction businesses. Ed’s vast experience in a wide variety of business operations enables him to understand the unique needs of companies of all sizes in highly competitive markets, and within which En-Pro operates in. Ed was a director of Oshawa Children’s Aid Society and past President of The Kiwanis Club of Oshawa. He also served as the President of the Oshawa Chamber of Commerce.


John Kiemele, Vice-President and COO and Senior Analyst

John is head of En-Pro’s team of Energy Cost Analysts, and is one of Canada’s leading experts on issues pertaining to electricity deregulation and natural gas. John oversees the arrangements for all En-Pro clients, encompassing the full range of industry sectors, sizes and purchasing alternatives, with day-to-day responsibilities of negotiating terms for gas and power pricing. John’s ability to relay information about the complicated world of commodities, in plain terms, has resulted in media calling on him regularly to discuss energy, electricity and natural gas stories in newspapers, radio, television, trade publications, and consumer magazines. John joined En-Pro International Inc. in 1988 after graduating from the Energy Systems Engineering Technology program at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario and he is currently registered as a Certified Engineering Technologist.


Deborah Valliere, Controller

Debby has over 20 years experience in private and public accounting and has worked with BDO Canada and previously within a family business. Debby says she enjoys working with En-Pro because, “We are innovative and ahead of our time in the energy and commodity field; and our more than 25 years proves our expertise and programs are always changing, not only with the times, but also the volatile markets.” Debby is a native of Kapuskasing, Ontario, she moved to Oshawa in 1979 and joined the En-Pro team in 2007.


Deighton Jarrett, B.Sc., Director, Energy Services

Deighton is a graduate from Ball State University in Indiana where he was admitted as a student of distinction and was awarded an Academic Recognition Scholarship. He received a Bachelor of Science degree with a Finance major. He works in a lead position within the En-Pro team in the position of Director, Energy Services, for both the Energy and Industrial Commodities Markets. In his day to day role, he works with many of Canada’s largest businesses helping them develop energy procurement strategies to maximize savings and reduce risks.  He is originally from Gloucester, England and moved to Toronto with his family in 1982 and joined En-Pro in 2003.


George Kral, CIM, Commodity Cost Analyst

George is En-Pro’s chemical expert. He has extensive experience as a Chemical Technologist in laboratory and manufacturing. As a Senior Energy and Commodity Cost Advisor, he brought his years of manufacturing and purchasing experience in the domestic and international markets to En-Pro’s diverse clients who rely on his expertise to provide information on trends and price changes in the chemical markets. George’s wide range of experience gives En-Pro clients unique and valuable insight into what factors drive chemical prices, such as supply and demand, but delving further by weighing economic factors, the cost of energy, exchange rates, and transportation costs. George’s work purchasing chemicals, compressed gasses, lubricants, propane, and factory supplies, along with negotiating short and long-term agreements on chemicals and other services has given him unique insight into the domestic and international markets. On a daily basis, information from numerous sources around the world is gathered for market intelligence. George prepares The En-Pro Chemical Market Report, which provides inside information on chemical company news, market trends, and prices changes. Born in Bourlamaque, Quebec, George graduated from, Western Technical & Commercial School in Toronto in Industrial Chemistry.


Roger McKnight, B.Sc., Senior Petroleum Analyst

Roger has over 25 years experience in the oil industry, and is considered one of Canada’s leading energy experts. Roger has worked in senior marketing management positions responsible for national and international accounts with Texaco and Esso. His tenure with the oil companies included the establishment of the pricing of all fuels to major consumers in the transportation and manufacturing sectors on a national and international basis.Roger is the originator of the cardlock concept of marketing on-road diesel that is now the predominant purchase method of diesel in Canada. Because of Roger’s extensive knowledge of the oil industry in North America and pricing structures, his expertise is sought by local, national, and international media. Roger is a regular guest on radio and television programs, and he is often quoted in newspaper and magazines across Canada. Roger was born in England and raised in Montreal. He earned a B.Sc. (Hons) from Carleton University in Ottawa.


John Voros, B.Tech., Petroleum Analyst – Special Projects

John has over 25 years of petroleum industry experience at Sunoco Inc, a subsidiary of Suncor Energy. He attended Ryerson University and received a Bachelor of Technology degree in Laboratory Sciences. Early in his career he was involved in manufacturing, quality control and technical support for lubricants at Sunoco. These experiences led to an extensive sales career with a solid background in cardlock, industrial/commercial and wholesale markets throughout southern Ontario. During his sales tenure he was involved in negotiating contracts with numerous major transportation, municipal and government accounts. His knowledge, experience and insight into the Canadian petroleum marketplace have provided significant savings opportunities to many En-Pro clients.


Paul Kilistoff, Energy Services Analyst

Paul earned his Honours degree in Computer Science and Project Management from Durham College. Paul also worked at EDS Canada, where he completed a Systems Analyst Program. He has applied his diverse skill set to multiple projects within the manufacturing sector. Before joining En-Pro, Paul worked in project management and applied his analytical and computer skills with the economic development division of regional government. Paul works with En-Pro’s team of petroleum, natural gas and electricity analysts to provide extensive energy management services including green initiatives, reporting, data analyses, and evaluations with clients across North America. Paul was a key part of the En-Pro team that launched Ener-Wire.com, an on-line data tracking portal exclusive to En-Pro clients.


Josh Lowe, Energy Services Analyst

Josh joined En-Pro’s Energy and Commodities specialist team in 2008. Josh’s extensive training began with En-Pro’s Senior Commodity Advisors in the petroleum markets where he continues to hone his skills in the key cost and market drivers. His experience has crossed-over to the electricity and natural gas markets where he trained with En-Pro’s senior utilities specialists and now works with public and private educational facilities as well as many national retail chains across the country. From 1999 to 2007, Josh studied social sciences at both Concordia and Dalhousie University with a focus on cultural anthropology. Josh also obtained a certificate in Visual Communication Arts at Nova Scotia Community College. Josh was born in Waverley, Nova Scotia. He has also lived in Montreal; and moved to Ontario with his wife in 2008.


Adam Marshall, B.Com., Energy Services Analyst

Adam graduated with a B.Comm. (major in accounting) from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in 2010. Since completing En-Pro’s comprehensive Energy Services Analyst Training Program, he is now working under the guidance of our Senior Commodity Advisers in the electricity and natural gas markets. Adam has a keen interest in regional energy procurement options, and a passion to help businesses with multi-locations manage their energy costs utilizing his understanding of the complexities that exist in each region. Adam looks forward to a long and successful career as an analyst – his goal is to become a leading industry expert in the energy management sector. Adam is from Aurora, Ontario.


Kyle Kearns, B.Com., Energy Data Analyst

Kyle is the newest member of the En-Pro Energy Analyst team. He works on daily market analyses; and prepares the beginning stages of energy cost evaluations for new clients. Kyle also tracks strategy performance and prepares analytical reports on actual results achieved. He graduated with distinction from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Kyle has a keen interest in finance and is working toward his CMA designation. “En-Pro offers clients programs that produce immediate cost savings while enabling them to mitigate their risks; I like the work that’s involved to make these things possible.”


Susan Ponting, Director of Communications, Business Development

Susan is a multi-faceted communications professional whose career in journalism taught her the importance of crafting and conveying accurate and timely information, while working to tight deadlines. Her versatility in the field is hard-earned from years as a reporter and producer in mainstream media. Susan has learned that communications is part art and part science, secured with organizational and production skills such as those she gained as an event producer with API Inc., “It is a rewarding experience working in PR and business development with En-Pro knowing that the objective, transparent work that the team does every day benefits clients. Our exceptional team transforms energy and commodity management strategies for companies into quantifiable results. Anyone who works in energy management knows it’s a complex job, and not something one person can do on their own – It takes a team. Angelina McKenzie, Inside Analytical Support

Angelina is a long-time and valued member of the En-Pro team. A native of London, Ontario, Angelina joined En-Pro in 1997. She graduated with an Honours Diploma in Office Administration/Accounting and Marketing from the Westervelt Business College in London. Angelina also obtained a certificate in the Ontario Management Development Program from Durham College in Oshawa. “I love the work I do every day, and I’m honoured to work alongside a great group of people. We all pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our clients who are Number One to us.”


Trista Ashby, Inside Analytical Support

Trista is a valued member of our team working in Accounts Receivables and Production, assisting our analysts and advisors. She also ensures daily reporting is disseminated throughout our client database. Trista graduated from Sir Sandford Flemming College where she attained her three-year Business Administration Accounting Diploma, “Working with En-Pro gives me the opportunity to understand the way the Energy markets work; it is a complicated area that takes years to understand. I am proud to provide our clients with impeccable service through our cost control and reduction programs.”


Aaron Drover, Research Coordinator

Aaron is En-Pro’s resident tech savvy person and he is a natural when it comes to research and database administration. His research of business sectors and operations enables En-Pro to target the market areas that will most benefit from its services. The energy markets continually change, so his research adapts to new conditions and regulations. Prior to joining En-Pro, Aaron worked in the culinary arts.


Michael (Michel) Desroches, B.A., Director of Sales – Eastern Canada 

Michael is a cum laude graduate of Laval University in Quebec City. He has extensive experience in corporate retail and commercial site operations having worked for over 20 years with a national petroleum marketer. Over a 10-year span with En-Pro, Michael continues to work introducing En-Pro’s unique services and programs to some of the largest and most successful multi-location businesses in Eastern Canada. He plays a vital role in the launch and implementation of those services to each and every organization and develops the two-way relationships necessary to ensure the benefits and results of our programs are reached as early as possible. Michael is fluently bilingual, very knowledgeable, and comfortable dealing at all levels of management. “ I am proud to work for this organization because it is transparent, makes no false claims, but above all, we deliver on our promises.”


John D. Guppy, P.Eng., Senior Business Development Director

John is a graduate engineer from University of Toronto and a career marketing executive with a 27 year career at CN – Canadian National Railways, which involved postings across Canada and Europe, and culminated by his last four years as Senior Vice President Marketing, responsible for a $3.5 billion revenue budget.  John joined En-Pro in 1999, and says, “ I just love being back to doing what I most enjoy, which is creating win/win deals with clients – things  that I used to have to delegate to my staff in the latter years at CN!”


Dan Brownsberger, Solutions Director – Western Canada

Dan is a technology graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). In the 8 years he has been with En-Pro, Dan has worked with numerous industries helping them understand the many different sides of energy management, and the positive results that happen when the right team is involved, “En-Pro has a thorough knowledge of the energy markets across Canada, and I am proud to represent our company in Western Canada, helping businesses and organizations save millions of dollars every year.”Dan grew up in Calgary and is a strong proponent of volunteerism; spending the past 30 years involved as a leader and a director of the 92nd Group, a Scouting Program for the Developmentally Disabled. Dan was awarded the Governor Generals Medal of Merit through Scouts Canada for his work with the developmentally disabled. Dan currently is a volunteer with the Kids Cancer Care Foundation and enjoys getting out to the mountains to hike and mountain bike.


Stephanie Carter, B.Sci. (Cand.), Administrative Support 

Stephanie assists our analysts and production team, and basically “holds the fort.” She is a talented and creative team member who is currently studying at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) where she will attain her Bachelor of Science (Honours), specializing in Environmental Toxicology. Stephanie’s long-term goals are to apply her knowledge of environmental chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, and toxicology, to work in the environmental field as an ecotoxicologist, studying the toxic properties of natural and man-made chemicals, including their health effects and environmental fates.
